Purpose: The Quality Engineer (QE) supports web and mobile testing for all releases and responsible for driving quality through using predefined processes and tools within Tangerine. Responsibilities include test case design / execution, defect management and maximizing automation (API/UI) in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Quality Engineer (QE) will report directly to Manager or Senior Manager, Quality Engineering. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Collaborates with delivery teams across testing requirements including: Functional/Non-functional Testing (including automation), Integration Testing, APIs, Regression Testing, Accessibility Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Production Acceptance Testing and other types of testing as required. Support all testing activities: maintain/execute both functional and non-functional manual and automated test scripts across various applications and devices, log and track defects to completion, provide testing updates and sign-offs etc Understands the test requirements for each releases/deliverables and coordinate testing with offshore/onsite partners. Understand the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints and effectively advocate for the best possible customer experience of product quality within those parameters. Provide Quality Engineering and technical guidance to project teams and TQA personnel to support QE process and deliverables. Takes responsibility and ownership for the quality of all deliverables including test scripts, test cases, bugs and QE artifacts. Participates in automation code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Assess the risks associated with the development aspects of each solution/project and define approach for testing manual versus automation testing (with an automate first focus) Risk Management ? document testing risks and provide mitigation and contingency plans from testing standpoint. Drive delivery excellence by contributing to governance and continuous improvement, thereby generating high quality outcomes Participate in project Discovery phase in collaboration with other teams like Development, PMO, Release Management and perform capacity planning for Testing initiatives Collect strategic, technical and operational test metrics. Analyze current defects and test execution trends and extrapolate data for predictive analysis Work with Sr.QE and QE Leads and shared services teams to monitor the status, effectiveness, efficiency and quality of testing deliverables Create, support and conduct on-goin
