Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Utilize hand and power tools. Install underground wiring and cables. Erect and dismantle scaffolds and other platforms. Assist skilled tradespersons. Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Maintain work areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Working at heights training. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Positive attitude.
