Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Hay farming. Livestock combination farming. Other miscellaneous animal farming. All weather conditions. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Groom horses in preparation for competitions and shows. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns. Area of specialization: Horses. Animal specialization: Thoroughbred horses.
