Assist new residents in adjusting to their new home environment. Thisposition reports to the Recreation Development Specialist. Qualifications:Graduation from High School or equivalency;Minimum of one year?s experience in providing recreational activities;Ability to develop, plan and carry out an overall recreational and social program for long term care residents;Ability to communicate and work effectively with the elderly and with clients/residents who may be physically and/or mental disadvantaged;Must possess a high degree of energy, initiative and innovation;Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR);Breastfeeding education;Computer proficiency in Meditech, MDS, 2.0 MS word and outlookThe successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.
