Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Clinic. Physician's office. Tasks: Coordinate the flow of information. Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material. Schedule and confirm appointments. Maintain filing system. Order supplies and maintain inventory. Determine and establish office procedures and routines. Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review. Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records. Perform data entry. Provide customer service. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Label, file and retrieve documents. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages. Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying). Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word. Electronic mail. MS Excel. MS Windows. MS Outlook. Technical terminology: Medical. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Public transportation is not available.
