Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Commercial. Industrial. Residential. Tasks: Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, mark and cut glass. Position and secure panes in frame. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Install door, window and other hardware. Prepare shop drawings. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Transport cases of glass. Installation specialization: Stained glass installations. Shower doors and tub enclosures. Walls and other interior areas (i.e. partitions). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
