Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: General office. Tasks: Assess clients' cognitive, social and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals. Assess people's physical limitations, orientation abilities and mobility to establish client rehabilitation. Instruct students in reading and writing braille. Instruct students in lip-reading, finger spelling and sign language. Instruct in the use of rehabilitative techniques, prosthetic devices and wheelchairs. Instruct students in formation and development of sound for speech using hearing aids and other devices. Assist students to develop life skills. Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives. Security and safety: Criminal record check.
