*Job Description:* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Optician to join our team in Georgetown and Bolton. This role is ideal for a student currently enrolled in an opticianry program or interested in gaining hands-on experience in the optical field. The successful candidate will support daily operations, assist customers, and help deliver excellent patient care in a professional retail environment. *Key Responsibilities:* * Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses based on their prescriptions, preferences, and lifestyle needs * Support laboratory tasks such as lens edging, frame adjustments, and quality control to ensure high standards of optical service * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary and lab areas * Manage inventory, restock frames, and assist with merchandising displays * Support the optical team by helping fit and dispense glasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper alignment and comfort for patients * Handle administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling (when needed) and order processing * Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming environment *Qualifications:* * Currently enrolled in an opticianry program (mandatory) * Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity (especially for lens cutting and adjustments) * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Willingness to learn and take initiative * Previous retail or optical experience is an asset, but not required *What We Offer:* * Flexible scheduling to accommodate school commitments * Hands-on training and mentorship * Opportunity to gain valuable industry experience * Supportive and team-oriented work environment Job Types: Full-time, Internship / Co-op Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 ? 35 per week Application question(s): * Would you be able to reliably commute or relocate to work in Georgetown, Bolton or both? * Are you legally authorized to work in Ontario?
