Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Upholstery/upholsterer. Tasks: Discuss upholstery fabric, colour and style with customers. Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts. Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery. Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons. Operate sewing machines or sew by hand. Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial sewing machine. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
