Our strong entrepreneurial spirit, together with a culture of empowerment, quality and innovation create opportunities to grow and succeed in an organization with a proud heritage and bright future.</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Position Profile:</strong></strong><br />We are currently searching for <strong><strong>Experienced Aircraft Assemblers</strong></strong> to join our team in <strong><strong>Victoria, BC.</strong></strong></p><p>NOC: 93200</p><p>Vacancies: 5</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Study and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand assembly requirements</li><li>Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal components according to specifications</li><li>Assemble sheet metal parts and components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, adhering to strict quality standards</li><li>Conduct thorough inspections of assembled components to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to aerospace industry standards</li><li>Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary</li><li>Safely handle and store sheet metal materials, ensuring proper organization and inventory control</li><li>Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team, including engineers and machinists, to achieve seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies</li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Education and Professional Qualifications:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Completion of a college or other program in aviation or aeronautical technology, with a focus in aircraft manufacturing, is required</li><li>Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required</li><li>Any additional technical or trades <span class="long-word">qualifications/certificates,</span> or training would be considered an asset</li><li>Ability to complete a criminal background check</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Skills & Experience:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 6 months of experience as an assembler.</li><li>2+ years of manufacturing, aerospace, warehousing or construction experience is considered an asset</li><li>Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery</li><li>Ability to interpret and understand drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work</li><li>Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines</li></ul><p>Position opening: Aircraft Assembler</p><p>Company Name: De Havilland Canada</p><p>Business Address: 4100 Westwinds Dr NE</p><p>Calgary, AB T3J 4L2</p><p>Language of Work: English</p><p>Term: Permanent, full-time</p><p>Salary: $27.73 - $35.65 CAD per year, per collective agreement</p><p>Benefits: MSP Premiums, Health and Welfare plan including vision, dental & drug coverage, per collective agreement.</p><p>Location of Work: 1959 De Havilland Way</p><p>Sidney,- Location Sidney, BC
