Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Panjabi; Punjabi. Tasks: Issue and receive books and library materials. Answer quick reference questions. Assist library users in accessing basic library materials. Reshelve books and library materials. Maintain classified collections (shelves shift, shelf-read). Provide lending services and facilities for return of loaned items. Perform routine clerical duties. Handle and maintain library equipment (e.g., microfilm/microfiche readers, large print readers, etc.). Send and receive messages. Provide general information to clients and the public. Label files according to retention and disposal schedules. Compile data, statistics and other information. Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?.
