This role is suited for candidates with practical, hands-on experience in Civil 3D design, including grading and drainage, and prior involvement in site development and/or municipal roadway projects.</p><p>You will work on a variety of projects including pavement rehabilitation, parking lot expansions, roadway improvements, and municipal infrastructure upgrades, with involvement across the full project lifecycle from design and drafting through to construction support and field coordination.</p><p>This position includes a combination of office and field responsibilities, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend project sites as required.</p><p>Our team offers a collaborative environment where individuals are expected to contribute to project delivery, build practical technical skills, take on increasing responsibility, and develop into more advanced design and coordination roles over time.</p><p><strong>The Salary Range for this position is $51,800 - $77,800 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.</strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Design & Technical Delivery</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documents for civil infrastructure and asphalt pavement projects</li><li>Develop grading, servicing, and roadway drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D</li><li>Convert preliminary concepts and markups into detailed design drawings and tender-ready packages</li><li>Interpret survey and topographic data to develop practical grading and drainage solutions</li><li>Support the design of parking lot rehabilitation and expansions, roadway reconstruction and intersection improvements, and sidewalks, curbs, and accessibility features</li><li>Assist in pavement condition assessments, preparing tender documents and technical reporting</li></ul><p><strong>Project Coordination & Administration</strong></p><ul><li>Assist Project Managers and Practice Leaders with monitoring and updating project scope, quantities, budgets, and schedules</li><li>Coordinate with internal team members and subconsultants to meet project schedules and deliverables</li><li>Assist in preparing municipal submissions and coordinating with approval authorities</li><li>Coordinate with clients and contractors for Pre-Tender, Pre-Construction, and Close-Out meetings</li><li>Maintain organized project documentation and ensure timely and accurate deliverables</li></ul><p><strong>Field Coordination & Site Work</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct site visits, inspections, and field reviews for ongoing construction projects</li><li>Perform periodic site observations, review contractor submissions, and prepare field observation reports</li><li>Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field</li><li>Progress toward CET (OACETT) or similar designation is considered an asset</li><li>Additional coursework or training in Civil 3D, grading design, or municipal engineer- Location Toronto, ON
