Oakville, Ontario *Employment Type:* Part-Time / Casual (Evenings & Weekends Required) *Reports To:* Banquet Manager / Banquet Supervisor *Pay*: Commensurate with experience *Position Summary* Era Event Venue is seeking professional, energetic, and customer-focused Banquet Servers to join our events team. The Banquet Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing efficient food and beverage service during weddings, corporate functions, and private events. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Set up banquet rooms according to event floor plans, including tables, linens, décor, and place settings * Provide courteous and professional food and beverage service to guests * Carry trays, clear tables, and reset service areas efficiently * Assist with buffet, plated, and cocktail-style service as required * Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and event spaces * Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations * Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and event coordinators * Respond promptly and politely to guest requests or concerns * Assist with post-event teardown and cleanup *Qualifications & Skills* * Previous serving, hospitality, or event experience preferred but not required * Smart Serve Certification (Ontario) is an asset or willingness to obtain * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs * Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance * Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Ability to work well independently and as part of a team *Work Environment* * Fast-paced event setting with varying schedules based on bookings * Indoor venue with occasional outdoor event components * Shifts typically range from 4?8 hours depending on event size *What We Offer* * Competitive hourly wage * Flexible scheduling * Opportunities for growth within the hospitality and events industry * Supportive and team-oriented work environment Era Event Venue is committed to providing exceptional experiences for every guest.
