*BARISTA* We are hiring Baristas to join our team! Detour Coffee Roasters is a boutique coffee brand based in Southern Ontario. Our café at The Paris Wincey Mills is looking for a talented team member who is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences. *WHO WE ARE* We are a diverse team, and we?re proud of what we do. If you have a passion for crafting freshly brewed beverages, inspiring food, and providing genuine hospitality, we?d love to meet you. *BEFORE YOU APPLY* We are specifically looking for someone who: * Is available to work weekdays * Can work a variety of shifts including early mornings (7am), mid-days, and closing shifts (we close at 5pm) * Is interested in learning opening procedures and growing within the role * Is looking for a longer-term position and can remain on the team beyond the summer season *AS A BARISTA, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:* * Being the face of the café and an important part of our customers? daily routines * Handcrafting delicious, high-quality beverages with consistency and care * Educating customers by presenting and explaining the coffee and food menu * Preparing and serving espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, soups, sandwiches, and other café offerings * Following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques * Maintaining inventory and stocking coffee beans, brewing equipment, pastries, and café supplies * Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by following sanitation and organizational standards * Continuing to build your coffee and hospitality knowledge through ongoing learning opportunities *YOU CAN EXCEL AS A BARISTA IF YOU HAVE:* * A passion for great food, coffee, and outstanding service * A strong work ethic and a ?let?s get it done? attitude * Enthusiasm and a customer-focused mindset * Retail or customer service experience (considered an asset) * Previous barista experience (considered an asset) *WHAT?S IN IT FOR YOU?* * Competitive compensation starting at $17.60/hour plus gratuities * Benefits for full-time employees * Training and development opportunities * Staff discounts and food perks * A company that supports local growers, products, community groups, and the environment *JOB DETAILS* Job Type: Part-time Experience * Customer Service: 1 year (preferred) * Barista: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification * Safe Food Handler Certification (preferred) Pay: From $17.60 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Discounted or free food * Flexible schedule * Store discount Work Location: In person
