We?re looking for an *Intermediate Accountant* to support the day-to-day accounting operations across two growing healthcare organizations in Calgary: Access Orthopaedics and Gateway Surgery. This role gives you exposure to: * Multi-entity accounting * Healthcare and clinic operations * Month-end close processes * Cash flow support and reporting * AP/AR ownership * Cloud-based accounting systems * Process improvement opportunities * A finance function that is actively evolving and becoming more sophisticated * You?ll work in a high-volume environment where details matter and where your work directly supports operational decision-making. *What You?ll Be Responsible For:* You?ll own a variety of recurring accounting and reconciliation activities across both entities, including: * Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations * Jane EMR and Stripe payment reconciliations * Journal entries and transaction processing * AP and AR coordination * Vendor payments and expense processing through Dext and Plooto * Month-end close support * Working papers and reconciliation documentation * Cash flow tracking support * Multi-entity record accuracy and intercompany entries This is the kind of role where organization, consistency, and follow-through matter every day. *What Will Help You Succeed:* You?ll likely do well here if you: * Naturally double-check your own work before submitting it * Like creating structure and keeping things organized * Are comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once * Communicate proactively when something needs clarification * Learn systems quickly * Stay calm in fast-paced operational environments * Take ownership rather than waiting for direction * Enjoy understanding how operational activity flows through the financials * You do not need to know everything on day one. But curiosity, accountability, and attention to detail are important. *What You Bring:* Required: * 4-5 years of accounting experience * Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Experience using QBO or similar cloud-based accounting software * Strong Excel skills * Ability to manage recurring deadlines independently Considered an Asset: * Healthcare or clinic accounting experience * Exposure to Jane App or Stripe reconciliations * Experience in a multi-entity environment * Familiarity with Dext or Plooto * CPA pursuit or enrolment *What You?ll Gain:* This role offers meaningful operational exposure and the opportunity to grow within a finance function that is still being built and refined.
