Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Osteopathic medicine/osteopathy (DO). Work setting: Private practice. Professional association or organization. Tasks: Diagnose patient illnesses and minor injuries, such as allergies and muscle strains or sprains . Diagnose physiological disorders and injuries of patients. Treat patients by administering, in chemical or herbal form, a small dosage of a remedy made from natural substances or by suggesting lifestyle changes. Treat the diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients. Advise patients on the use of herbs for the treatment of conditions. Manipulate or apply pressure to various parts of the body, hands and feet. Type of treatment experience: Pain management. Security and safety: Criminal record check.
