<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><i><b><strong>PLC Programmer / Final Inspection Specialist</strong></b></i></p><p>We are seeking a skilled <b><strong>PLC Programmer / Final Inspection Specialist</strong></b> with hands-on experience supporting <b><strong>automotive manufacturing</strong></b>, <b><strong>final inspection systems</strong></b>, and <b><strong>plant floor automation</strong></b>. This role is ideal for a technical professional with exposure to <b><strong>GVOSS</strong></b>, <b><strong>PLC programming</strong></b>, <b><strong>HMI troubleshooting</strong></b>, <b><strong>industrial controls</strong></b>, and <b><strong>vehicle quality inspection processes</strong></b>.</p><p>The position will support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated inspection equipment, controls systems, and final inspection processes. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, maintenance, quality, and production teams to ensure reliable equipment performance, accurate inspection results, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and support <b><strong>PLC programs</strong></b> for automated manufacturing and inspection equipment.</li><li>Support <b><strong>Final Inspection Systems</strong></b> used in automotive production, including inspection stations, data collection systems, and quality verification processes.</li><li>Work with <b><strong>GVOSS-related systems</strong></b>, interfaces, standards, or tools used in vehicle operations and final inspection environments.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving <b><strong>PLC controls</strong></b>, <b><strong>HMI screens</strong></b>, <b><strong>I/O devices</strong></b>, <b><strong>sensors</strong></b>, <b><strong>vision systems</strong></b>, <b><strong>barcode scanners</strong></b>, <b><strong>network communication</strong></b>, and production equipment.</li><li>Support integration between automation equipment, inspection systems, and plant-level data systems.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis on equipment faults, inspection failures, downtime events, and recurring process issues.</li><li>Assist with commissioning, validation, testing, and launch support for new or modified automated systems.</li><li>Collaborate with <b><strong>quality teams</strong></b> to ensure final inspection processes meet production and customer requirements.</li><li>Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to improve uptime, quality, safety, and throughput.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, including <b><strong>PLC logic changes</strong></b>, troubleshooting guides, electrical drawings, inspection procedures, and system backups.</li><li>Support preventive maintenance activities related to controls, inspection equipment, and automation systems.</li><li>Follow plant safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, change management processes, and engineering best practices.</li><li>Provide technical support during production shifts, launches, model changes, and continuous improvement activities.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience as a <b><strong>PLC Programmer</strong></b>, <b><strong>Controls Technician</strong></b>, <b><strong>Controls Engineer</strong></b>, <b><strong>Automation Specialist</strong></b>, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Hands-on exposure to <b><strong>automotive final inspection</strong></b>, <b><strong>vehicle quality inspection</strong></b>, or end-of-line production systems.</li><li>Experience with <b><strong>GVOSS</strong></b> or similar automotive plant floor systems, final inspection tools, or vehicle operations support systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of <b><strong>PLC programming</strong></b>, troubleshooting, and controls logic.</li><li>Experience with platforms such as <b><strong>Allen-Bradley PLCs</strong></b>, <b><strong>ControlLogix</strong></b>, <- Location Burlington, ON
