Due to strong growth in our business and continued plans for expansion, Floral Express is looking for a new role in the Company, *Senior Accountant*. The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting and information management functions, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the company?s financial reporting systems. The role will work with Senior Leadership to translate financial insights into strategic decisions, overseeing the health of our operations while playing a critical role in running the day-to-day business. If you are looking for an opportunity to move beyond reporting and truly influence the trajectory of a growing organization, we want to hear from you. *Key Responsibilities* * Maintain robust accounting records; implement internal controls and budgeting processes; ensure compliance with GAAP; deliver timely, insightful management reporting * Direct accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance * Oversee payroll management, including salary/benefits/deductions compliance; collaborate with HR; reconcile payroll accounts; implement best practices for payroll reporting and controls * Recommend and implement improvements to financial reporting accuracy and effectiveness * Manage relationships with external third-party advisors (auditors, technology consultants, ERP advisors) * Oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades * Lead cashflow forecasting and liquidity management; align forecasts with business objectives and financial targets * Stay current on regulations, accounting standards, and cashflow best practices; implement process improvements (budgeting, forecasting, cost control, decision support) to improve profitability and cash flow * Approve, monitor, and control company expenditures; manage allocations aligned with business priorities. * Other duties as prescribed. *Required Knowledge and Experience* * Bachelor?s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field * Actively pursuing CPA designation * Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience * Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting under ASPE * Hands-on experience with development cost tracking, capitalization, and project accounting * Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, analysis, and financial models * Experience supporting audits * Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines * Clear communicator with the ability to work effectively with non-finance teams * High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. *Application Process* · Want to join our Team, check out our hiring video: https://tinyurl.com/5c95dshk · Please send your resume and cover letter and complete the mandatory Predictive Index assessment: https://assessment.predictiveindex.com/bo/ZAR/SeniorAccountant · Please note that applications submitted without a cover letter and a completed Predictive Index assessment will not be considered. _*Floral Express *__is an equal employer recognizing diversity and inclusion.
