Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Hydrovac. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel overnight.
