<p><strong>Rock Truck / Haul Truck Operator</strong></p> <p><strong>Company:</strong> Infracon Group of Companies<br> <strong>Location:</strong> Western Canada ? potential project locations may include Hope, 100 Mile House, Merritt, Dawson Creek, Kamloops, and surrounding areas<br> <strong>Type:</strong> Full-Time / Project-Based<br> <strong>Wage Range:</strong> $26.00 ? $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Infracon Group of Companies is seeking experienced <strong>Rock Truck / Haul Truck Operators</strong> for potential upcoming civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance work across Western Canada.</p> <p>This role is best suited for a safety-focused operator with experience operating rock trucks, articulated haul trucks, or similar heavy equipment in active construction, mining, earthworks, or industrial environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely hauling, dumping, and moving materials such as rock, gravel, clay, sand, overburden, and other construction materials throughout project sites.</p> <p>Our projects may include road construction, earthworks, drainage, mine support work, pipeline maintenance, site development, reclamation, and civil infrastructure upgrades. We are looking for operators who are reliable, aware of their surroundings, and able to work safely around other equipment, haul routes, ground crews, changing site conditions, and active production areas.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for operators who enjoy varied project work and are open to supporting projects in different locations throughout Western Canada.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Rock Truck / Haul Truck Operation</strong></p> <ul><li>Operate rock trucks, articulated haul trucks, or similar equipment safely and efficiently </li><li>Haul and dump materials including rock, gravel, sand, clay, overburden, and other construction materials </li><li>Follow designated haul routes, traffic patterns, speed limits, and site instructions</li></ul> <ul><li>Load and dump materials in coordination with excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and supervisors </li><li>Maintain safe spacing and communication with other trucks, equipment, and workers on foot</li><li>Operate on uneven terrain, slopes, haul roads, active work areas, and changing ground conditions </li><li>Support civil construction, mining, pipeline maintenance, earthworks, road building, drainage, and reclamation activities </li></ul> <p><strong>Site & Crew Support</strong></p> <ul><li>Work closely with supervisors, forepersons, equipment operators, labourers, and traffic control personnel </li><li>Communicate clearly with loading equipment operators and ground crews </li><li>Assist with safe and efficient movement of materials across the project site </li><li>Follow site sequencing and production requirements as directed </li><li>Adapt to changing project priorities, weather, haul routes, and site conditions </li><li>Represent the Infracon Group of Companies professionally on project sites </li></ul> <p><strong>Equipment Care & Maintenance</strong></p> <ul><li>Complete daily pre-use inspections and equipment checks </li><li>Report equipment deficiencies, maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly </li><li>Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and work-ready condition </li><li>Follow proper start-up, shut-down, fueling, parking, and maintenance procedures </li><li>Monitor equipment performance throughout the shift and report concerns early </li><li>Operate equipment within safe working limits and manufacturer guidelines </li></ul> <p><strong>Safety & Compliance</strong></p> <ul><li>Follow all company, client, and project safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices </li><li>Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, field-level hazard assessments, and site orientations </li><li>Maintain strong situational awareness aro- Location Kamloops, BC
