You will lead a skilled field workforce responsible for operations, maintenance, and construction activities while helping create an environment where safety, teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence are at the forefront.This is an opportunity to combine your electrical industry knowledge with your leadership skills to make a meaningful impact on employees, customers, and day-to-day operations. Working closely with field supervisors, regional support teams, and external partners, you will help coordinate resources, support employee development, and ensure work is delivered safely and effectively.For someone who enjoys leading people, solving operational challenges, and building strong working relationships, this role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the reliability of the electrical system while continuing to grow as a leader. Key elements of this role include:Promote a strong safety culture by monitoring safety performance, conducting evaluations and accident investigations, and reinforcing safe work practices.Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable health and safety regulations, industry standards, environmental and company policies, and collective agreements.Lead daily field operations to support the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of electricity to customers.Provide leadership and direction for operations, maintenance, and construction activities, ensuring resources are effectively coordinated to meet service expectations.Lead, coach, and support a skilled workforce, identifying opportunities for training, development, and continuous improvement.Build collaborative relationships with field supervisors, regional support groups, and external contacts to support effective service delivery.Contribute to budget planning and cost management, helping ensure resources are used responsibly and operational priorities are achieved.Participate in rotational supervisory standby and provide support in response to operational needs across the province. These skills will make you successful:You bring a combination of leadership, electrical industry knowledge, sound judgment, and strong communication skills, along with a commitment to keeping employees and customers at the centre of safe and reliable operationsGrade XII education or equivalent, with a Red Seal Powerline Technician (PLT) Certificate, relevant electrical trade certification, or Engineering Technology credential preferred.Supervisory or other relevant experience within the electrical sector or a related field. Six or more years of relevant experience is considered an asset.An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may also be considered.Strong knowledge of electrical distribution operations, safety requirements, and maintenance practices.Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate effectively, and build collaborative working relationships across teams.Experience using work management and scheduling systems to coordinate operational activities and resources.A demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, employee development, and operational excellence.A valid driver's license.This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to comply with the Emera Alcohol and Drug Policy.We understand that experience comes in many forms, and we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team.
