What is the Available Workers Dashboard?
The Available Workers Dashboard is a Job Bank tool that shows where Canadian workers who are currently looking for work are located. It helps employers and other users learn more about workers available across Canada.
Where does the data come from and who is included?
The data comes from Job Bank and includes workers who have a Canadian postal code, a Job Bank account, and used the platform in the last four months. This group consists of:
- Canadian citizens
- permanent residents
- temporary residents
The data also includes workers who applied for Employment Insurance (EI) or received benefits during that period.
These users are considered part of Job Bank’s pool of available workers.
The dashboard presents data based on location, education level, employment group, and status. Some information is based on what users voluntarily include in their profiles.
How is location data grouped?
Locations are grouped based on proximity to major metropolitan areas. When you search for a specific city, the results include nearby locations that belong to the same metropolitan area. Because of this grouping, different places linked to the same city may display the same number of available workers.
