Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Outdoors. Tasks: Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Calibrate, test and interpret ultrasonic equipment. Prepare, conduct and interpret liquid penetrant inspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Instruct and supervise trainees. Maintain test result reports. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CWB Visual Inspector Certification Level 2. Testing equipment and methods: Liquid penetrant. Magnetic particle. Visual inspection. Nondestructive testing. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Cellular phone. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Team player.
