Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Measure, mark and cut glass. Position and secure panes in frame. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Glass cutting equipment and techniques: Computerized cutters. Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts). Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts). Laminate glass. Temper glass. Tint glass. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.- LocationSurrey, BC
