Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Repair minor mechanical problems such as broken or defective needles. Notify supervisor or repairers of mechanical malfunctions. Make adjustments to machinery. Operate batteries of knitting machines to produce knitted fabric, hosiery, garment or other products. Operate large automatic multi-needle machines to embroider or to sew lengths of several layers of material. Patrol machines and check fabrics or products for defects and to verify efficient operation. Operate cutting machines to trim edges of quilts. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Accurate. Excellent oral communication.
