Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Pharmacy or drugstore. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Help with scheduling and workflow. Maintain prescription records and inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Bill third party insurers. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate, enter client information in databases and prepare medications for clients. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Perform general clerical duties. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
