JOB SUMMARY:The Medical Services Advisor reports to the Director of Medical Recruitment and Retention and works with the Director to achieve the objectives of the medical services and medical recruitment.It is responsible for providing professional assistance to the medical directors in the recruitment and hiring of physicians. It analyzes, reviews and drafts policies and procedures, briefing notes, reports and business plans related to the development of the clinical services plan and strategic directions. It also provides the necessary research activities for the development of recruitment and retention strategies for physicians. In addition, it carries out project management, the development of business plans and indicators and then monitors and coordinates projects related to the internal functioning of the sector.The advisor is involved in the recruitment activities of the sector and may be called upon to contribute to the development of these activities. The advisor works closely with the research, medical education, project management, quality management, risk management, policies and procedures sectors, communications, program planning and evaluation, and with all external partners, including the New Brunswick Medical Society and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NB.It also works closely with the medical affairs coordinators to carry out tasks as required and prioritized. He is therefore part of the team responsible for all operations and support to physicians and Medical Affairs for the entire Network.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in administration, humanities or social sciences; Graduate degree in health services management, public administration, business administration or a related field (an asset); Minimum of five years' experience in the development, analysis and implementation of policies or programs in the health field or public sector; Experience in research and research methodology; Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be taken into consideration; Proven analytical and writing skills and ability to see the "big picture"; Ability to manage numerous projects/tasks at the same time; Understanding of the organization's needs and priorities; Initiative; Ability to set priorities and meet objectives; Proficiency with common computer tools (Microsoft 365 suite); Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle (occasional travel required);Ability to work independently and as part of a team;Physical ability to perform assigned work;Good work history (performance and attendance);Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;Compliance with Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
