The Vice Principal supports the schools operations to inspire and engage faculty, staff and 280+ students (Grades JK-5) to do their best through truth and courage in academics, arts, athletics and citizenship. The VP works to ensure each student receives a rich educational experience that is nurturing, challenging and prepares students to be committed, creative, and compassionate global citizens. To learn more about this exciting opportunity, please visit the following link for a more detailed description of responsibilities.What Youll Bring<p>The Search Committee recognizes the challenge and complexity of the position, and that no one individual will have all of these skills and attributes in equal measure; however, the below background, experience, and personal qualities will be sought in candidates. This includes a valid BC teaching certificate with five years of leadership and experience working with a diverse team of administrators and teachers. At least five years of exemplary teaching experience at the Junior School level is also expected. A master's degree in Leadership or Educational Administration or related discipline is desirable and IB training and PYP experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches, possess a passion for innovation and creativity, and be highly reflective and committed to continuous professional growth and improvement. A strong aptitude in differentiated learning styles and a passion for educating the whole student is also expected.The capacity to create and sustain meaningful relationships will be key to the VPs success.
