<p>The Near North District School Board is Hiring! <p>Summer Arts Programming (TOROS) <p>Invites applications for the following position: <p>Stage Manager <p>Effective July 2, 2024 to August 12, 2024 <p>(Hiring for this position is based on student enrollment)Location: North Bay, West Ferris Secondary SchoolIn collaboration with the Teacher Director and Teacher Producer, the Stage Manager will ensure that the rehearsal process and production are running smoothly. The Stage Manager will support the coordination of rehearsal space and participants. <p>Responsibilities: Helps with scheduling and running rehearsals. <p> Communicates the directors wishes to staff and facilitate communication across all creative and technical departments.? <p> Coordinates the work of the stage crew. <p> Calls all technical cues during the performances. <p> Oversees the entire show in dress runs and performances. <p> Marks out the dimensions of the set on the floor at the rehearsal space. <p> Makes sure props and furniture are available to actors during rehearsals and at the performances. <p> Notes any changes to notify set designer, set painter and costume people during rehearsals. <p> Records blocking, light, sound and set change cues in prompt book. <p> Works with director to ensure smooth scene changes. <p> Works with set painter, set builder and props person to get everything done for the show. <p> Asist in managing the direction and process of musicians, actors and crew during all performances including rehearsals.? Qualifications: Previous stage-managing experience is not required but is considered a large asset.? <p> Previous experience with the performance arts.? <p> Demonstrated ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. <p> Demonstrated reliability and resilience while preparing and organizing the performances. <p> Experience developing and supervising youth programming (ages 12-17 years) considered an asset. Knowledge/Skills Required : Ability to multi-task and take on other duties as assigned. <p> Strong organization, leadership and communication skills. <p> Proven time management skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. <p> Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. <p> First Aid and CPRC Training is considered an asset. <p> Preference will be given to Applicants with Sound and Lighting experience. <p>Rate of Pay: $2357.30 (110 hours @ $21.43 inclusive) A Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months) is required All applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada <p>The Near North District School Board is committed to supporting an inclusive and accessible environment.
