Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Private sector. Rural area. Various locations. Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Conduct and supervise forest inventory cruises, surveys and field measurement. Perform technical functions in preparation of forest management and harvest plan. Assist in planning and supervise construction of access routes and forest roads. Implement, supervise and perform technical functions in silvicultural operation. Provide forestry education, advice and recommendations to woodlot owners. Provide technical support to forestry research. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : S-100 basic fire suppression and safety training. Technical experience: Stand descriptive cruising. Airphoto interpretation. Soil analysis. Area of specialization: Forest hydrology. Land and forest classification. Forest measurement and inventory assessment. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Public transportation is not available. Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel regularly. Driver's abstract. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
