Learn more at www.adm.com.About the PositionFull time Utility - this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant in Mississauga, Ontario. In order to meet the requirements of this job posting, the applicant will be cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTraining will be provided, and the successful candidate will be able to meet expectations within a reasonable period of timeDuties include but are not limited to, material handling, light maintenance, and cleaningAdhering to GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Safety Rules is essentialThis position also includes general sanitation duties following established GMPs for our food safety programsRequired Skills and QualificationsMust be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bendMust be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditionsShift work, overtime, and weekends will be requiredThe successful candidate must possess good communication skills and the ability to follow directions and perform various tasks safely and independently in a production environmentThe successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issuesBasic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this roleThere is room for further advancement in this roleEducation or Work ExperienceHigh school education or equivalent is preferredAdditional Information To be successful, the candidate will be advancing towards an Operator position over time as business requires. Operators, with a recognized mechanical skill set, will be considered for a maintenance position. To advance to this position you must be proficient in all aspects of the Operator role and align with company based maintenance criteria.Work in accordance with local/provincial legislationUnderstands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirementsAll candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada. Relocation support is not available for this position.This is a unionized work environment and you will be subject to the articles outlined in the current collective agreement once a suitable probationary period is fulfilled.
