Montrose Pet Clinic is looking for an RVT to join our team. *NEW GRADS WELCOME* We are a small animal clinic in Beaumont, AB, conveniently located only 10 minutes south of Edmonton. We strive provide high quality care for our patients and are looking for a person who is passionate about client and patient care. We have an in-house IDEXX lab, digital dental and digital radiography, and a well equipped surgical suite. *Duties:* * Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis * Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian * Assist with diagnostic imaging procedures * Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures * Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and recovery periods * Provide post-operative care * Maintain accurate medical records * Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions or concerns *Qualifications:* * Diploma from an accredited school in Veterinary Technology * Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures * Proficiency in collecting and performing lab tests * Excellent communication skills * Compassionate nature and ability to handle animals with care and confidence * Ability to multitask effectively We offer competitive salary based on experience, paid dues, dental and health coverage, and staff discounts. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $50,000.00-$58,000.00 per year Expected hours: 32 ? 44 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: * Bonus pay * Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: * Beaumont, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: * Secondary School (required) Experience: * Veterinary Technician: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationBeaumont, AB
