Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Machinery manufacturer. Metal product fabrication industry. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Document work completed. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines. Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal. Position and adjust dies on anvil of forging machinery. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Overhead Crane Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Forklift Operator Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: AutoCAD. Brakes. Lifting device. Overhead crane. Power presses. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Hand tools. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Forming. Specialization or experience: Green economy sector. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
