WFN is dedicated to promoting a healthy and prosperous future to ensure its continued existence as a strong political, social and cultural community.Westbank First Nation values Equality, Honesty and Fairness, Respect, Integrity, Accountability and Transparency, Sustainability, Understanding, Confidentiality and Efficiency.About this OpportunityUnder the limited supervision of Council, the Executive Assistant to Council - Projects will provide administrative support and assistance to Council through planning, implementation, coordination, and providing administrative services within the Office of Council. The Executive Assistant to Council - Projects will be responsible for refining specific processes by analyzing and developing new strategies, researching and implementing new practices, ensuring effective communication between the Office of Council and Membership, and managing Council projects and correspondence.Want to know more? You will?Manage Council calendars, including coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments Research, analyze, and prepare information packages for Chief and Council prior to meetings or as requested Manage Councillor and Office of Council budgets, ensuring all five budgets are created accurately, followed throughout the fiscal year, and supports transparency under the WFN Constitution; Meet with CAO and Legal Team after Policy Day meetings to ensure that action items are accurate and assigned correctly; Assist with correspondence, administration, and development of Council initiatives and projects where necessary; Provide a variety of administrative office management and clerical assistance to Council, including but not limited to: drafting, typing, and preparing materials such as letters, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, forms, posters, and decks; Attend all Special and General Membership meetings, taking note of Council?s follow up items;Must Haves:Diploma in public, office or business administration, or related field preferred 3 years? executive administrative experience or other relevant administrative support experience Experience in crafting and preparing letters, documentation, reports, presentations and memoranda in a professional, timely manner Criminal Record Check with results acceptable to WFN Valid driver?s license with and an acceptable driver?s abstract and reliable transportationPerks of Working at WFN:Competitive compensation package including 3 weeks? vacation Extended Health Care (including Vision and Paramedical Services), Dental, Basic Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and Health Spending Account Municipal Pension Plan membership Access to Big White Season Passes (Summer & Winter) Employee Recognition Program Access to LinkedIn Learning for Professional Development The minimum starting salary for this position is $57,124Application Details:To review the full job description and to learn more about Westbank First Nation please visit our website at https://www.wfn.ca.
