Administrative Assistant to the Manager of Human Resources<p>Non-Affiliated Level 3A<p>COMP # 3725565Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, the Administrative Assistant provides a broad range of administrative services and operational support in effort to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Human Resources department. We are seeking candidates with strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills and the ability to remain professional at all times while responding to clientele inside and outside of the school board.<p>Key Accountabilities Include: <p> Organize, compile and manage information relating to various functions within human resources (ie. job evaluation, grievances, compliance with Collective Agreements, etc) <p> Prepare data for various reports and summaries <p> Maintain sensitive and confidential records <p> Assist in the preparation of HR memos and letters (MOA, LOU etc) <p> Attend meetings at the request of HR managers, prepare agendas and take meeting minutes <p> Help to maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders <p> Maintain the University secondments program <p> Administrator of the Edvantage program <p> Assist with the school supervision schedule <p> Review to track HR absence coding <p> Respond to inquiries and directs to the appropriate person or department as required <p> Assist in organizing department initiatives, meetings and events <p> Assist to track and maintain departmental budget and spending, and prepare budget updates/reports and payment requisitions as required <p> Provide clerical support for Human Resources including generating reports, research and accounting/financial entries and reconciliations <p> Support the Human Resources department as needed at special events such as board retirement dinner, job fairs, community outreach events, etc <p> Contribute to a positive team environment <p> Perform other administrative duties as assigned<p>Required Qualifications: <p> Completion of a post secondary certificate, degree or diploma program in a related and/or relevant field <p> 3 years of administrative experience <p> Proficient with Google Suite (Gmail, Forms, Sheets, Drive, etc.) <p> Demonstrated attention to detail <p> Excellent organizational and communication skills <p> Positive team player and ability to work independently as well <p> Strong analytical and time management skills <p> Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders <p> Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered<p>In addition, the following will be considered an asset: <p> Experience with HR processes and systems (ATE, K212, etc.) <p> Previous school board experience <p> CHRP/CPHR designation This is a full time (1.0 FTE) permanent position with an annual salary range of $61,219 - $69,189.
