Social service or charity agency. Private residence. Tasks: Administrative and office activities. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Developmental services worker¿(DSW)¿Training. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Student status: Full time enrollment. Part time enrollment. Target audience: Persons with an intellectual disability. Persons with mental health disabilities. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Driver's validity licence check. Adult Abuse Registry check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle.
