Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment. Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components. Weld or braze components. Instruct apprentices. Perform on-site servicing and repair. Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear. Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrical Mechanic Trade Certification. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Team player.
