Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Analyze hair and scalp condition. Book appointments. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shave and trim beards and mustaches. Supervise other hair stylists and other staff. Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Hair braiding. Permanents. Extensions. Relaxing. Spiking. Roller setting. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youths.
