Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: In shop. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Repair or replace mechanical units or components. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Perform scheduled maintenance service. Test and adjust units to specifications. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Repair and balance tires. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. Apprenticeship training: Level three apprenticeship training. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?.
