*Role Description*
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at E & E McLaughlin Ltd. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including recording transactions, preparing financial statements, processing invoices and payments, and conducting financial analysis. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential in this role. The Accountant will also collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and provide support for budgeting and forecasting.
*Job Duties:*
* Full scope of duties related to Accounting.
* Responsible for supporting the financial management of all projects.
* Preparation of project reporting: including detailed revenue, cost and margin data for analysis and reporting on weekly, monthly and annual basis.
* Assist in month end and year end preparation.
* Assist in annual review procedures.
* On-time completion and filing of government remittances.
* Bank reconciliations and journal entries.
* Respond professionally to telephone, email and in person inquiries from customers, business partners and other parties.
* Organize, maintain and coordinate records and files electronically.
* Where necessary, assist in compiling data for various reports, including supporting the Controller and management team.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Requirements:*
* Minimum College diploma in Accounting or Business.
* CPA or working towards CPA is an asset.
* Minimum of three (3) years accounting experience is required.
* Experience with Sage 300, Sage 50, Quickbooks and Yardi is an asset.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook is required.
* Experience using an electronic filing system is an asset.
* Strong Leadership skills
* Strong Organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
* Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Strong Analytical and investigative skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
_*Hourly Wage is negotiable based upon experience.*_
