We are seeking a *Cost Accountant* who takes pride in their work and has a diploma in a related finance discipline and/or equivalent experience or demonstrated capability. This role will be responsible for the cost accounting function of our 3 entities, two in Canada and one in the U.S.
Reporting to the Vice-President of Finance, this is a Monday to Friday 40 hour work week. The role is situated in the physical office, and consideration will be given to a hybrid office and remote work arrangement once established in the role.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the accounting system (Sage 300)
* Work closely with Sales and Operations Departments to uphold BOM accuracy
* Create pricing matrixes for new product lineups across all 3 companies and work with Sales and Operations to finalize new product pricing
* Update and set-up inventory and non-stock items in Sage
* Update price lists in Vendor Catalogue
* Analyze and investigate various inventory reporting to identify quantity and cost issues
* Adjust inventory quantities and costs to ensure accuracy of inventory accounting
* Participate in and help lead year-end inventory counts and cycle counts
* Maintain accurate filing system for BOM creation and changes
* Other duties as assigned

* Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP?s and pivot table capabilities
* Relevant education and/or demonstrated experience and capability
