Core is a well-established and rapidly growing company providing archaeological and heritage consulting services throughout BC?s Kootenay region. Our diverse projects include municipal developments, provincial and federal infrastructure, forestry, mining, and private land developments.
To help us grow, we are seeking a part-time or full-time (up to 40 hrs/week) Office Manager to help manage our business side, so we can focus what we do best. This is a new position, so the accountabilities may evolve and vary depending on the successful applicant?s aptitudes, but will at minimum include taking responsibility for accounts receivable/payable, basic payroll and tax filing tasks, and helping to track communications with First Nations. To be successful in this role, you should have accounting or bookkeeping training and experience, be intimately familiar with QuickBooks Online, and be an excellent communicator.
Based in Cranbrook or preferably, our Invermere office, this position will work closely with our senior team.
Responsibilities Include:
* Accounts Receivable/Payable
* Administer payroll, T4s, ROEs, etc.
* Bookkeeping
* Reconcile financial statements
* Prepare, send, and file invoices
* Create strong client relationships
* Identify and address discrepancies
* Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
* Work with company management to ensure consistent cash flow
* Project status tracking
Required Skills:
* Proven work experience as an Office Manager or similar role
* Demonstrated knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices
* Strong familiarity with QuickBooks Online
* Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
* Good organizational and time-management abilities
* Strong attention to detail
