Our employees are empowered to contribute in meaningful ways to the success of our students and the greater organization.<p>THE OPPORTUNITY <p>The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a temporary part-time opportunity in the capacity of Psychologist/Psychological Consultant . This is a 10-month position (yearly from Sept. June following the school year calendar) to start as soon as possible, ending June 28, 2024 with the possibility to end earlier or extend beyond the anticipated end date.The Psychologist/Psychological Consultant will be reporting to the Manager of Psychological Services and BCBA Services. <p> Location: <p> Various Guelph Area Schools <p> Hours/FTE: <p> 0.4 FTE (14 hours per week) <p> Salary Range: <p> Standard Grid - Psychologists or Psychological Associates: $79,255 - $101,373, inclusive of 14% job market adjustment. (per annum, based on 35 hour per week position)<p> Qualified Ph.D. Grid - Psychologists or Psychological Associates with a Doctoral Degree: $88,492 - $112,074, inclusive of 21% job market adjustment. (per annum, based on 35 hour per week position) <p> Board Information: <p> 10 months; temporary , part-time ; Professional Student Services Personnel Responsibilities <p> Provide comprehensive psychological assessments for elementary and secondary students, urgent need response, crisis response, violence threat response to schools, behavioural and mental health consultation, programming, community liaison and school team participation.<p> The successful applicant will work collaboratively with children, the school team, families, special education support services and community agencies.Experience and Qualifications <p> Registered Psychologist or Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in clinical/educational psychology will be given preference, although candidates who are able and qualified to work under supervised practice will be considered<p> A thorough knowledge of assessment, diagnosis and intervention planning for learning disabilities, developmental disorders, behavioural problems, and relevant childrens mental health issues is vital<p> Experience working for a school board or in childrens mental health is a definite assetAPPLICATION DETAILS Candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume in PDF format no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 1, 2024 .
