_The Brockville & Area Community Living Association (BACLA) is a non-profit, charitable organization established to provide community based support for people in the Brockville area who have an intellectual disability. Our service provides a wide range of accommodations and support arrangements in residential and supported independent living settings. BACLA is dedicated to providing unique person-directed support that enables people to live good lives in the community and currently works in conjunction with Community Living North Grenville (CLNG) in a shared administrative services model. _
Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, the Coordinator will be responsible for various administrative services including the scheduling of employees in BACLA?s 12 locations, overseeing new employee orientations and onboarding, coordinating employee training and assisting with Human Resources administrative functions.
Similar job titles include Human Resources Generalist, Scheduling Coordinator, Administrative Supervisor, Training Coordinator.
*Responsibilities:*
· Oversee the new employee onboarding experience which includes participating in interviews, training new employees on computer systems and organization policies/practices, arranging orientations at specific locations and gathering required documentation for the employee?s file.
· Coordinate training and ensure training for all employees is up to date as per compliance standards.
· Manage the Learning Management System for all employees.
· Accept vacation and time off requests from employees and coordinate coverage while following the collective agreement guidelines.
· Ensure up to date lists of employees who are able to work in specific locations.
· Participate in the on-call manager rotation for last minute call-ins.
· Assists with Human Resources related duties including employee recognition/events, reference checks, screening resumes, benefits and pension administration, etc.
*Qualifications:*
* Education:
Business Administrative or Human Resources diploma is preferred, however a combination of education and experience may be considered.
· Experience completing scheduling duties/responsibilities would be an asset.
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or a not-for-profit environment would be considered an asset.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with a high degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality.
· Excellent computer skills are required. Experience with Comvida and AIMS systems would be considered an asset.
· Clear vulnerable sector criminal records check is required.
· The ability to travel between two offices in both Kemptville, Ontario and Brockville, Ontario is required.
*Salary:*
Based on experience and education. Generous leave provisions, employee health and dental benefits, disability and life insurance, and group RRSP options are available.
*Hours of Work:*
Monday to Friday, 37. 5 hours per week as well as On-Call hours which include evenings, weekends and Statutory Holidays. Flexibility may be required.
