Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assist students to develop life skills
  • Assess individuals in areas such as physical limitations, orientation and mobility skills, and cognitive, social and emotional barriers to establish client rehabilitation or adaptation goals
  • Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives
  • Prepare reports or case histories
  • Implement life skills workshops
  • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
