Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Dusty. Work setting: High-rise building construction sites. Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Pave and rake asphalt. Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
