REGIONAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR AREA 3B <p>Salary<p>Range: $67,760 - $84,701 per year (Under review)<p>1.0 FTE<p>Permanent<p>The<p>Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the<p>position of Regional Operations Supervisor for the Facility Services<p>Department. Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Operations, the supervisor<p>will be responsible for a designated area of schools and facilities. The<p>supervisor will coordinate school operations staff and services, as well as the<p>planning and delivery of general maintenance programs in the safe, clean, and<p>secure operation of board schools and facilities in keeping with facility<p>services operating budgets. The successful candidate will be required to be on-call<p>(24/7), with regular requirements for travel with respect to school<p>inspections, accident/incident investigations, facility emergencies, and alarm<p>response follow-up.<p>The<p>role of the Regional Operations Supervisor includes responsibility for<p>overseeing minor maintenance and building operations services, staff, and<p>contractors. This position is for: Area<p>3B Barrie North Collegiate Institute & group of schools and Innisdale<p>Secondary School & group of schools.<p>Qualifications and Skills Required: <p> <p>Secondary School diploma is required with preference<p>given to candidates with a relevant Community College Diploma; <p> <p>Five (5) years related experience in the areas of<p>custodial, general maintenance and health and safety<p>practices, preferably in an education environment and in a leadership role(s);<p> <p>Effective supervisory, leadership, coping and conflict<p>resolution skills;<p> <p>Strong oral and written communication skills;<p> <p>Excellent organizational and time management skills;<p> <p>Working knowledge of and the ability to ensure<p>compliance with board policies and procedures, collective agreements, WHMIS,<p>WSIB, Building Code, Labour Relations, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights<p>code and the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Fire Code;<p> <p>Demonstrated ability to schedule,<p>assess, and prioritize workloads and shifts, and work within established<p>budgets;<p> <p>Demonstrated experience with custodial methods and<p>equipment, building operations systems, and training of adult learners;<p> <p>Advanced computer literacy and ability to work with a<p>variety of computer software programs, such as O365, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS<p>Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Apply to Education are<p>required. Working knowledge of the DirectLine Maintenance Work Order System, eBASE, and<p>absence reporting software is preferred;<p> <p>Previous experience in a unionized environment is<p>preferred;<p> <p>The successful candidate must<p>possess a valid drivers licence- class G or greater.<p>The successful candidate will be required to provide a copy of their drivers<p>licence and an acceptable three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report from the Ministry<p>of Transportation;<p> <p>The nature of this position will require the<p>successful candidate to service large geographical areas.<p>TESTING<p>MAY BE REQUIRED DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS. <p>This<p>is a full-time permanent position.
