Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Accept payment or invoices for items delivered. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Prepare, package and restock goods. Load and unload goods. Follow directions and read map. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
