We want to hear from you! *Summary* Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, or delegate, The HVAC Maintenance Technician/Student will be responsible for identifying maintenance risks on equipment, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing filter changes and documenting to be Health Canada audit compliant. The incumbent will also be responsible for air quality systems by performing maintenance, and emergency repairs. *Job Duties:* * Maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. * Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. * Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. * Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. * Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. * Keeping records of all maintenance functions for Health Canada. * Ensure all HVAC systems and equipment meet Health Canada audit requirements. * Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. * Complying with service standards, and work instructions. * Attending training seminars as necessary to stay current on HVAC technology. * Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program. * Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Operations Manager not related to HVAC. * Adhere to all Health Canada regulations as it relates to Cannabis. *Requirements:* * HVAC service experience/enrolled HVAC student. * Commercial/Manufacturing experience would be an asset. * Experience with greenhouse infrastructure would be an asset. * Working safely at various heights. * Working with minimal supervision, providing updates to management as required. * Ability to provide and maintain police clearance. * Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e., occasional lifting of 33lbs up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery. * The facility is operated Monday to Saturday ? flexibility in hours is required. * Consideration for part-time and/or flexible working hours will be considered for students. *Work Conditions* * Physical ability to lift up to 33lbs. * Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. * Overtime as required. * Hazards associated with trade. * Work both indoors and outdoors. * Noisy with fumes. * Conditions in the greenhouse may be hot and humid in the summer.
