<p><span><b>Title: Water System Technician </b></span></p><p><span><b>Summary:</b></span></p><p><span>The Water System Shift Operator/Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining all clean utility services and systems to support production, laboratory, and site operations on a continuous basis. </span></p><p></p><p><span><b>Primary Responsibilities:</b></span></p><ul><li><span>Perform routine operation, troubleshooting and maintenance on water system and clean utilities as assigned by areas of responsibility</span></li><li><span>Understand operation of equipment and systems and how they impact utility customers and site processes</span></li><li><span>Provide detailed documentation of all water systems operations (data collection, log books)</span></li><li><span>Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System to document activity</span></li><li><span>Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Utility Operations Procedures, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, job plans and/or equipment manuals to perform work</span></li><li><span>Adhere to cGMP, Safety, and Environmental procedures</span></li><li><span>Issue/complete job hazard analysis/safe work permits (hot work, from height, excavating, confined space, hazardous atmosphere, etc.)</span></li><li><span>Responsible for maintaining training curriculum requirements (GTP and others)</span></li><li><span>Complete required Utilities Qualifications</span></li><li><span>Assist with modification, installation and startup of new and existing equipment</span></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Additional Responsibilities:</b></span></p><ul><li><span><b>The Clean Utilities Operator (CUO)</b>: Responsible for operating and maintaining Utility systems to include but not limited to pure steam generation, high purity water generation and storage, process air, pure steam condensate return systems, etc.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:</b></span></p><ul><li><span>Communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form in both official languages in Canada</span></li><li><span>Build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams across multiple business units</span></li><li><span>Use personal computers and have experience with Window applications and Web based programs</span></li><li><span>Read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals</span></li><li><span>Demonstrate strong mathematical skills with the ability to apply this knowledge to the various tasks assigned.</span></li><li><span>Understand current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements</span></li><li><span>Understand industrial plant safety and environment requirement</span></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span><b>Requirements:</b></span></p><ul><li><span>Minimum of a College degree in a relevant technical field</span></li><li><span>3 to 5 years relevant experience</span></li></ul><p></p><p><span><em>*Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.</em></span></p><p></p><p></p><p><span>Work is performed in a manufacturing environment or warehouse with rotating shifts. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposure to chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, hand tools and moving machinery. Operates forklifts, tractors and power equipment. Exposure to high levels of noise and to dust/gas/fumes/steam. Exposure to extreme cold below 32* and on occasion, exposure to extreme heat above 100*. Exposure to vibration or oscillating movements of the extremities or the whole body. Occasional entry into confined spaces, requiring kneeling, crawling, climbing and squatting. Works at heights on scaffolding and/or on ladders. Walks on uneven ground.
